Good morning/afternoon, another short one this week as some personal issues have come up but some quick thoughts in the lead up to Christmas!
I'll do a full year (really the last 6 months) in review, plus an episode on Vietnam, plus one on Malaysia, all in the coming weeks (and I haven't forgotten about the asset management/personal finance piece either!). The whole international travel thing can be pretty admin-intensive especially if you're only staying in each country for a few weeks, but then again it's a good problem to have.
Things are very slow on the business front which is probably normal this time of year, with a few outreach emails going unanswered, and some referrals in progress but nothing concrete. 2026 will be the year of more experimentation and pouring gasoline on any sparks of opportunity that come my way, but as any independent business owner/operator will tell you it's the character you build in these times that makes it all worth it in the end.
Anyway, many lessons learned in the last months and many more to come I'm sure. As always, hope all is well wherever you are, and that if you're in the corporate world you're taking some time off for some Baileys hot chocolate (not sponsored). The shareholders definitely will 😉
Thanks and all the best,
Oliver
